Beetle's About

I haven't seen beetles for many years and wondered if they too had disappeared from Kuwait.  This is not the type I used to see (and catch) in the seventies, but it was interesting to find nontheless.  I circled around it preventing it from reaching the safety of small shrubs nearby, until it finally gave up and froze.  It stayed until I got my shots from both sides then speeded away to the shade.

Surprisingly there are a lot of little creatures that I don't see in Kuwait anymore, it is very sad. I honestly don't see beetles any more when their used to be so many of them around, and I always considered them to be harmless creatures!

Have never seen anything like this before! My younger son though says he has seen a lot of these in open areas here. The pictures look amazing, as always.I

They are harmless and not as ugly as we often say :)

That's good to hear. I used to collect them into a jar when I was young then release them in our garden.

When we were little there were so many bugs, beetles and ladybirds in the various gardens in Kuwait. Now I hardly see any, or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Nice pictures BuYousef.
